Loads of Material

It is a rare luxury to have loads of material for the blog to wade through. I washed the truck twice yesterday: once to remove the dirt and an 18-state layer of bugs, then sprayed the truck with tar remover, and a second wash to remove the grease and tar and solvent. I’ve never seen so much grease and tar. Anyhow, besides that job, I wrote up the reports on:

Holman Lake at Little Buffalo State Park

Fuller and Laurel Lakes at Pine Grove Furnace

Lake Marburg at Cordorus State Park

And Conewago Lake at Gifford Pinchot State Park.

All of these were in Pennsylvania.

Today is to bring us an all-day rain, so there will be more report writing and an effort to get to the picture processing. The rain is needed. The Oklahoma Flatwater Paddlers are already reporting that streams in the Eastern part of the state, the area normally with the most rain and water, are already going too dry to paddle. They are hoping to get 2-3 inches of rain out of this system.
